Last June 28 was a tragic day in Davao. There were flash floods and vehicular accident. In the afternoon, I was riding in a jeepney going to NCCC mall to buy something. Unfortunately, there was a traffic jam because of the accident. According to the blabber driver, four people died on the spot. When our Jeepney passed that street, I saw that the multicab was almost crushed.
At night, there was a heavy rain. I didnt know that it would give casualty because I thought it was only a normal rain just like previous days. As usual morning of June 29, I felt ordinary but I was shocked because my sister called me. When I asked her at the telephone, she was asking my situation and I said I was okay. I never thought that the flood would occur four to five blocks from my house. After some minutes, my mom told me that there was a really big flood which resulted to 25 casualties. I was really ashamed to her because I did not know what was happening around me. Then I said "Well, this is the effect of climate change. I hope we could do something to prevent this tragedy."
I really hope and pray to God that this would not happen again.
