Several months ago, when I was riding in a jeepney, a passenger paid his fare to the driver. The driver immediately did not accept the money because he thought it was fake. Soon, the passengers told the driver that was the image of the P20 bill of the Philippines.
Since it was my first time to see the new P20 bill, I asked the driver if I could change my old P20 bill to the new bill. Moreover, I got the new bill and wondered why government officials made a new bill. For me, it was just a waste of money and I had been looking if there was a face of government official because some people would create ways in order for them to be recognized since they are in the working in the government.
Furthermore, when looking at the new bill, I noticed some changes. At the front of the new P20bill is a younger version of the late President Manuel Quezon, Malacanang Palace and the Declaration of Filipino as National Language last 1935. It was like all the features of the old bill was put in one side of new P20bill. Furthermore, at the back side of the new P20 bill are the pictures of Banaue Rice Terraces, Palm Civet and the Philippines map.
When I began to think the features at the back side of the new bill, my perception changed. Maybe, this is a way or means to promote our tourism sector which can help in boosting our economy.
